The fact that he could write such an amazing song and then forget about it is kind of a testament to the extent of his musical genius in and of itself. Words just can't say.

wow I was six years old. I wish I was of adult age for the era of Elliott Smith. Now all I have is youtube to hopefully find some ripped VHS footage of him.

@mrhinsliy i don't think he forgot it, i just think he didn't think it was worth releasing. he was very self-deprecating and critical of his writing. I think it's a testament to his genius that he could think this song wasn't good enough to be released, and also that he incorporates the solo into the live version. purely beautiful and amazing
