Clearly you Gleeks lack any and all culture. To whoever said Madeline Kahn's voice is "okay", I'd suggest you do some homework. Madeline Kahn was a supremely talented, professionally-trained opera singer. Your ridiculous show cannot hold a candle to her.

I agree with you, but then I saw Beth Howland play Amy twice in New York and once in San Francisco. I've seen a number of fine actresses do this song but none of them ever equaled Beth.

Sorry - while I worship Madelin Kahn - she just doesn't hold a candle to Beth Howland's original version. In fact, Hal Prince said that no one *ever* sung it better (I guess he would know). You people that like the song slowed down may not realize it was intentionally written at the fast speed to give the feeling of anxiety and nervousness to the audience. This version just doesn't do it.
