  • I`m not a chemist, I`m a chemistry teacher, so it`s my destination to fascinate people for that science. Maybe then some of them become chemists and invent s.t. to benefit the world.

  • @TheMoni286 A mix of chlorine gas dissolving in the water and all the 'gunk' (science gunk) from the electrodes. At a guess it will be copper oxide.

  • what's the green stuff?

  • When I did this last year in an effort to produce hydrogen (and blow it up), that same gross greenish crud showed up. We used graphite and then stainless steel nails, then finally just stainless steel spoons. It worked, but everything corroded eventually and had to be replaced often.

  • Hi what was the materials used for the cathode and anode, graphite (I guess for the Anode) and what metal and also was the colour change due to the oxidisation of the metal? Thanks

  • I'm with adamcwatts here on this one, you have a killer looking lab set up and all you could come up with was that ?, at least try to do something that is gonna benefit mankind like find a cure for cancer or something to replace oil, all you did there was dick about.

  • its coller when you burn it yeah

  • the elektrolysation of NaCl

  • what was the point of this video?
