How to change outside mirror on Mustang GT 1994-2004

This is a short and complete instruction on how to replace an outside mirror on most Ford Mustangs from 1994-2004. I personally have had 3 Mustang GT's 94,02 & 04 and the setup with the mirror was the same for all three because of the stereo speaker on the door opposite of the mirror. hey, I got to the part where I'm supposed to take off the arm rest panel, and it's stuck, what do I do?

@brittany5226 Just try to pry on the top of it first, then pry at the back side of it. The back side of it should be a little tighter to pry on, but if you try to pry it straight up, then it should release. And when you pry on it, keep in mind to pry it straight up and not try to pull backwards on the cover because the tab inside could break. So keep at it, it should come free with a little patience. Thank you for the video! I am having trouble getting the bottom right nut off, how can I do it, or will I have to take off the door panel? I have an '00

@MsKrishy Thanks, That nut should come off just like the other ones. You shouldn't have to take the panel off to do that. Maybe use a ratchet with an extention, you could get a little leverage by using that ratchet. Don't worry about breaking off that stud if it comes to it because the new mirror assembly should come with the new studs attached and new nuts. Thanks.

is the passenger side view mirror replaced the same way? because i'm not sure where the wires are plugged into.

@cescarb I'm not quite sure, but really believe that it is done in the same manner. I'd have to take my passenger side apart to see. But i don't think it would be much different of more difficult to do. Once you open it up, you should be able to get a better idea of it. Thanks.

I had a hard time getting the mirror to plug in, because I couldn't fit my hand into the area where I pulled the door handle cover off.

Thank you, your video helped me replace my mirror. I did have a little bit of trouble with getting the wires unconnected, but I finally got it. Very easy fix took me maybe 10 mins max.
