Puppeteer editor prorotype - by studioevil.com
This is the editor we used to develop the single level of "The Night of the Puppets" for the dream build play contest. Here you can see some texture painting, terrain editing tools and water... "beta water".

@kaleri The people at bungie apparently use 3dsmax to make their levels.
Which is a very very long process compared to some engine's built in building tools.

@sgtfrankieboy (comment lost?): Terrain is built statically from a 16bit monochannel heightmap. It can be manually altered after, with the lift-up tool.

ok here is my question... iv been wanting to make games like urs for a long time.. and i started with. well FLASH>. and im quite good at it.. so i was moving on. and i got to XNA i mean i heard about it............ I also know MAYA... im pretty good at that too.... but the thing is.. when u are making games for XNA.. u build engines like this to make games?... like Make ur own terrain edditor? and other editors for ur own game?.. i mean is that how everyone does it?

You can build your own engine and tools to make your games or you can use other engines that are open source or require the purchase of a license.

Woah dude, kool sftware. BTW waht's the name of da song? Awesome song and nice bass! I've got the XNA Terrain Editor with me and when l,ooking for tutorials, i found this. Its pretty kool, huh?
