I thought he just missed a gear and failed to powerslide round the bend, but I could be wrong.

Thought it must be rare as I cant find another one of him crashing on here!

@ronny23lxz Pastrana is just a bike rider having a laugh, to mention him alongside Loeb is simply fucking disgusting. Burton didn't enter that corner too fast, he may have fucked up his line but most modern rally cars can easily take that sort of corner at much faster speeds. The way the accident played out just screams mechanical problem because it's not even that fast, as accidents go it's fairly gentle.

He definitely didn't miss a gear though.

He had 2 punctures, both co drivers side if I remember correctly, that's what caused the crash.

@master1749 For those of you who are unsure about the specification of this car, that a look at the Peugeot Cosworth website. It tells you all about. The transmission is a Hewland six speed sequential gearbox with steering wheel paddle shift, 4WD with GKN propshafts, Reiger suspension and Prodrive Impreza Hubs.I hope this answers your questions.

@ronny23lxz you are sort of correct he has a quick change as many well developed rally cars do but in no way is it a paddle box

i watched the wyedean rally earlier and was lucky enough to have seen this man and his animal of a car.................the scariest driver i've seen today by far..................and no he doesnt crash very often at all............he won his first wyedean rally in that same car in 2000 and its still the same car..................that should tell anyone with half a brain he dont smash often

@ronny23lxz no he dident no where near i whould say to slow in fact. he made a little error missed a gear or somthing or it jumped out dont 4get its 4wd so you need the power on around the bend
