You "can't" beat Defender :( I stayed home from school one day in the 80's and played Defender on the 2600 for about 10 hours straight on the one game with a friend with a score that was through the roof and a whole stack of lives. I was so good at it that day that i couldn't die so i just wrote down the score and turned it off.

@MrMethadrine it's called... having an imagination, sorry we couldn't transport the gaming technology of the future to the present day just so we could impress dwerbs like you.

@neddx Both of which sucked

Do these aliens follow the rules of war? no bombing civilian cities or some shit? good thing that red mutant isn't as kamikaze as the japs or towel heads, they would deff pull some 9/11 shit for you trying to hide among the innocent, lol, thank god for law abiding aliens!

its sad that this game and the second one is better than the next gen one for ps2

I hated the 2600 version because you hat to fly all the way to the bottom just to do the smart bomb. lol back then people were so desperate to play video games they would settle for anything other than pong.

I loved this game. Spent many hours and got good at it. Addictive.
Holy crap, this was one of the first games I got for the system like 25+ years ago.
The VERY first game I got for the Atari 2600 was "Lazerblast." As a 7 year old kid back then, I always wondered why the HELL the game never looked as good as the artwork on the box advertising it.
