I'd go for a Sarah Palin/Mitt Romney ticket.
Secretary of Treasury: Mike Huckabee, Mr. FairTax!!!
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs: General Petraeus!!!
Secretary of Commerce: Ron Paul, Mr. Super-Free Market!!!
Secretary of Defense: John McCain (hey, just sayin').
Attorney General: Rudy Guliani.
Homeland Security: Oliver North (something to tick off the libs)!!!

I like Both Mike Huckabee and Mitt Romney so its hard to say. Mike Huckabee reminds me a lot of a Ike Eisenhower or a Theodore Roosevelt and Mitt Romney reminds me of Ronald Reagan. 2012 will be the first presidencial election I can vote in and I would love to cast my vote for either Huckabee/Jindal or Romney/Jindal. I'm being realistic, because I know theres some heat between Huckabee and Romney. And Bobby Jindal just goes good with anyone.

I won't argue with you, but I watched the polls closely too, and Huckabee was a clear second. Besides that Huckabee ran on a shoestring. If Romney had a chance he would have stayed in the race. Romney could have easily outspent McCain... heck, he could have outspent everybody for that matter. Here are the primary results: tinyurl*com/2dvjga (replace the * with a period). As I said, Huckabee came in second.

I remember the election itself pretty clearly. Not until after Romney finally dropped out did Huckabee finally start pulling ahead, and for the most part was only do to the support of the smaller south eastern States, probably mostly due to southern Baptists, but all that is supposition. Further More In Many of the North eastern and western States that McCain won Romney was again still very close behind in 2nd with Huckabee falling pretty short.

I don't agree. The numbers in every poll clearly showed Huckabee ahead of Romney in the primaries. There were allegations that McCains campaign instructed their delegates to vote for Huckabee in West Virginia, but Huckabee was their choice from the start. It was political posturing in it's finest. If Huckabee runs in 2012, Romney is finished. Fox News hired Huckabee for a reason... exposure. With the number one news network on his side, he's a shoe-in in 2012. Then we may have the FairTax.
In 2012, we need Huckabee-Romney-Giuliani to go up against the incumbent.
In 2016, we can showcase our young guns, since there will be no incumbent.
That List Includes
Jindal
Pawlenty
Palin
Thune
Crist
AND MANY OTHERS!
