  • Can you use a flashlight instead of a candling light? If you used the flashlight then you have to move or touch to egg. Would the mother care for the eggs anymore if humans touch it?

  • @karenctran Hi sorry for the delay...that is a simple flashlight, and yes, you can just hold a flashlight up to the egg to candle it in the nestbox. The mother should not reject the egg if it is touched....Mine have always cared for them.

  • i just re candled my egg today and it looks like it's moving in a air pocket. i move the egg a bit and the place the embryo is at stays at the top. is this normal? it's about 8 days old now.
