  • It came with the car. Maybe you can get one from your vw-dealer.

  • Why do you think he fried the engine? I believe he has a 1.8l 8 valve engine. They are very reliable, there's no reason it should have any problem's driving like this. At a recent VW car show they tried to blow up one of these engine's. Even after hour's of revving it and redlining non-stop, burnout's etc. The engine still didn't blow up or even overheat. This was all at a standstill, with just the radiator fan to cool it.

  • my cabriolet did that no problem on summer tires. still fun though :D

  • it wont be the same because without the awd its hard to get your rear to slide out wihtout losing control syncros r alot better at the winter stuff
