It is true. In the anime you prolly have seen the three tails host, its the boy with the violet eyes, whos in the Orochimarus hideout. But in the anime you dont get to see the fight, where Akatsuki is against the three tails. Its actually the third Shippuuden movie. And that movie is all about the three tails, so thats where he gets captured, if they dont change it that is.
