This is me, Jennifer Rose, riding my haflinger mare Native Rosie in Craig Cameron's Extreme Cowboy Race at the Equine Affaire in Pomona 2009. We didn't make the finals but we made it in 12th place...only 10 points from being in the finals!! Not bad for our FIRST competition. I slowed down at the end because my buckle got stuck on the horn at the second barrel jump and then my shirt popped open!!! stupid wardrobe failure cost me the finals. lol. but it was SOO much fun. Look for us for next year. Hey if anyone who watched this and has pictures or videos...would you please email them to me?? I got no pictures...only video. my email is wapirose@cowboyway.com Thanks!!! And watch this video to see my interview with Craig after the race...don't know why my friend didn't keep reccording...but here is the link...enjoy it is FUNNY!!! http://youtube.com/watch?v=3pzpvz4oLLA

  • Oh wow! You maintain it very well! It's beautiful!!

  • @ilovemyhaflingers123 Thank. This was my first ever 'show or competition' in front of so many people, I was a nervous wreck, thankfully I had my Rosie trained enough to maintain our cool and take care of me. lol

  • your horse is beautiful! how did you get he rtail so long?! it's amazing. i love how it drags. she doesn't step on it?

  • @ilovemyhaflingers123 Thank you! Her tail stays in a tail bag all the time. This was the first year I did the cowboy race or a compitition ever and I was so nervous I didn't pick her tail up for the back up, but in 2010 when I did the cowboy race I leaned back and picked it up. So she rarely steps on it
