This is an arrangement of the Foo Fighter's song, "Everlong," that I did for a wedding of one of my best friends. It's based on the performance off of the live album, "Skin and Bones," (GREAT album) although I changed the rhythm of the verse parts to give it more of a slow dance feel.

I was inspired to do it in an alternate tuning after attending an Alex DeGrassi concert (who is both really friendly AND and awesome player, BTW). Tuning is open D major: D-A-D-F#-A-D.

I apologize if the change in rhythm or my mistakes in the lyrics or my shirt/hair offend anyone...

  • I'm getting married in 8 weeks and my fiance and I were just starting to panic! This is our song and we didn't know how we were going to make our dance work, but now that I've seen this I'm feeling a little better about it! I can't wait to show him your rendition. LOVE LOVE LOVE!

  • @MamaBirdSong - thanks! congrats to you and your future partner!

  • hah! I was listening to this honestly without even reading the description and thinking this sounds a bit like Alex de Grassi.. and then I read it. Great cover man, nice choice of tuning.

  • Without any doubt, the best cover of this song. Ever.

  • Sounds great... I thought that I was tough on a guitar - you sure get a lot of sound out of that thing... Bravo!

  • Wow. I am blown away my friend. At first I was blown away by your guitar skills...then I heard you sing. Your finger style technique is exceptional. I’m a fingerstyle player as well. Cheers.
