Yume Nikki: Masada's Piano

I play the keys from highest to lowest, including the one that you can't get to without making Masada move his ass.

edit: The reason behind this video involves some of that theorizing that we Yume Nikki fans just love to do. Going along with the popular theory that Masada was an adult Madotsuki knew at some point in her life (possibly her piano teacher) who was really into drugs; his spaceship represents him being "high" and the crash-landing on Mars represents... well, a crash, most likely his death from overdose. My idea was that maybe the keys that he stands in front of represent something he hid from Madotsuki, since when you move him out of the way and play those keys he's standing on front of, they sound funny. Someone on Uboachan took a listen and said the note sounds like it has two pitches in it rather than just one, so the difference is more than just superficial, apparently.

how did people find out the names for the people in the game, only person i found out was the main character and that was from the inventory screen

@Earthium I'm not sure... There are no official names for anyone except Madotsuki. I'm pretty sure the rest were just collectively decided by the fanbase at one point. For instance, Masada's name was reportedly decided in a thread on 2ch, and his full name is "Sentimental Komuro Michael Sakamoto Dada-sensei"... Seccom Masada or just Masada for short.

At least, that's what I remember anyway, could be wrong. It's been a while since I've nosed around in this fandom.

My personal theory is that Masada isn't a specific person, but the way Madotsuki views some adults in general. Throughout the short time I spent with him, I felt like he was a trustworthy friend. I felt scared for him when the ship was crashing, and I felt sad when I couldn't get back to him from the planet. He's too vague to assign to one specific person, so I think that he represents the people that Madotsuki feels she can really trust.

@BobTurk12 Some parts are, such as Monoko and Monoe. Those are both full-screen events and usually scare the hell out of people. There is also Uboa, so try finding HIM. This is a true adventure game at heart, but can get creepy at some times. There are many theories of it, and read it and it MIGHT get rid of your nightmares of this game. So go ahead, in my opinion it is scary.
