@Divinemartyr Oh and the crazy lunatic is Ron Paul... now watch as the Ron Paul supporters consume my still beating heart in the middle of a parking lost somwhere. I am sure that video will find its way to Youtube ^_^
@WallStwizkid I completely understand, we all get heated, I get extremely hateful messages telling me all the time telling me to "Shut the fuck up". Thats why I don't get upset over other peoples opinions anymore. Because when you begin to devalue the right to speak openly and freely, even if there is ignorance there, you demean your own voice and your own rights. So I will always defend a crazy lunatics right to speak, because it is his right.
@Divinemartyr The amounts of disinformation on youtube regarding the government and banking system is outrageous. I'm constantly in disbelief when I watch these videos. Do these people even check sources? They just believe whatever they see and hear on the net. Even mainstream media gets things wrong as they compete against other networks. Out here in lower Manhattan we still have those kooks standing around harassing people every 9/11 with their kooky theories. Enough is enough.
@Divinemartyr You're right, I apologize. I guess it gets a bit frustrating when there's scores of people on youtube attacking you over this Ron Paul nonsense, in very childish ways. But I shouldn't have stooped to that level, so I apologize. I'm not worried at all about Ron Paul even being nominated, let alone winning. However, there's a lot of nuts out there with outrageous beliefs. Who knows what they'll do when Ron Paul loses.
@WallStwizkid I understand, however then these debates aren't really meant for you. I agree with everything that you said about Ron Paul, I really do, as a democrat my opinions aren't going to coincide with any of the candidates least of all Ron Paul's. I just want a little fairness for people in politics, even for people that I staunchly disagree with. Anyways you won't have to worry bout' it, since Ron Paul could never win in a general election.
@ProudSpeakerofWhale The gov. did not help, which is why the recovery has been sluggish, only recently have we seen considerable signs of a recovery, and improvement in the financial markets and unemployment rate. That said, almost every candidate up there agrees with that, which means Ron Pauls kooky gold theories will offset any budget improvements. Not to mention his foreign policy is not only terrible, it's non-existent.
@ProudSpeakerofWhale No I agree, gov. spending is out of control. During the recession, when it's favorable to inject money into the economy to reverse deflation, keeping interest rates low, the gov. spent more money into the economy causing more inflation, and then deflation etc etc. There was volatility in even the shortest term money markets. This means borrowers couldn't negotiate favorable rates with lenders, causing more instability.
@WallStwizkid Okay, aside from the gold standard argument. You're right that "getting back to the gold standard" is impossible these days. By economy I guess I really mean government spending and debt, where if we have the right policy on government spending and debt (which I believe he does), it will get the economy growing again.
@Divinemartyr No I understand that but, who cares. He shouldn't even be in the debates. I wouldn't care if he just stood up there, and they didn't ask him anything. I can't stand when he opens his mouth, he's a nut, and I don't care what he has to say. His economic policies are out of the 19th century, he has "head in the sand" foreign policy, and he's not a "constitutionalist" but rather somebody who abuses the constitution to promote a free for all in society. I've heard enough.
