Footage taken on an old 8mm silent cine camera, around Manchester Victoria 1967. Quite a bit of steam was still around including the bankers. I apologise for the quality, but something is better than nothing.

  • Just for the record, the person on footplate of 45156 (1:32) is the late Jim Carter. We met while I was filming there and befrended him. What a really lovely man he was, a pleasure to have known him, it is a very sad loss.

  • Very nostalgic. Lovely film. Worth showing. Incredible that it was nearly half a century ago. Barry
