Using a blog as a platform for teaching allows participation in training programmes at any time, from anywhere: perfect for busy academic organisations. 23 Things Oxford used blogging to deliver a time-efficient training programme in Web 2.0 technologies for Oxford librarians. For the 12 weeks of the programme there were 12 themes and 23 things to explore, like wikis, Facebook and Twitter. 82 members of Oxford library staff successfully completed the training. Laura Wilkinson and Penny Schenk, librarians at the University of Oxford and members of the 23 Things Oxford Team, talk about their innovative blog-based course.
