A brief overview and background of the area WHI works - Southern Sudan. Why does this area need our help?
"From 1956 2005 Civil War raged between the Islamic government in North Sudan and the Christian Sudanese in the South. When the Civil War ended in 2005, South Sudan was ravaged and left in a dilapidated state no basic infrastructure, a generation of leaders erased, and a people group in desperate search of hope."
