The ending of Shadow of the Colossus is long and well done, the end of it all, with and interactive segment or two that gives "false hope" to the player making them think there might be multiple endings or something. Though it is brilliant and one of the better endings in my opinion.

Shadow of the Colossus, released in Japan as Wander and the Colossus ワンダと巨像, Wanda to Kyozō, is a Japanese-developed action-adventure video game developed and published by Sony Computer Entertainment (SCEI) for the PlayStation 2. The game was released in North America and Japan in October 2005 and PAL territories in February 2006. The game was created by SCEI's International Production Studio 1, the same development team responsible for the cult hit Ico.

The game focuses on a young man named Wander who must travel across a vast expanse on horseback and defeat sixteen beings, known as colossi, to restore the life of a girl, Mono. The game is unusual within the action-adventure genre in that there are no towns or dungeons to explore, no characters with which to interact, and no enemies to defeat, other than the colossi. Shadow of the Colossus has been described as a puzzle game, as each colossus' weakness must be identified and exploited before it can be defeated.

Everyone says that Wander died, but what about that baby? Did it really just appear from nowhere..?

@Exodune Technically in my opinion, Wander didn't die at all. Instead he reverted to an innocent state purged of the dormin creating a new person. Some of Wander is in the baby but not his memories. This is roughly speaking... my opinion of what happened.

@fannboygh Perhaps, Ico, the boy could also be a descendant of this child. The horned children... It's a thought. Only the creator of the games would know. Then if the creator doesn't even know because they didn't think that far ahead. ...oh well *shrugs*

i think the baby is supposed to be what remains if wanders soul, given a new body to start over with. i dont think the priest intended it to happen, he meant to destroy wander and the black beast he had resurrected. the leftover soul built itself a new body, marred with horns, partly to atobe for his sins, partly to relieve him of the heartbreak he had endured, as well as spare him an eternity of suffering in whatever hell he would be banished to. that's what i think, at least. how about you gu

Wait I thought that those priest had killed mono because they thought she screwed up destiny :/, I never thought these characters where either good or evil, but then again I dont remember much about this game only that its one the best games I played as a kid

@Casanuda I don't think Dormin was really evil, I think the crusaders were really afraid of his power and that's why they divided his being into sixteen idols or sixteen colossus to deprive him from such power

@lBeskol The colossi are 16 magical creatures that exist for one thing only, to imprison Dormain.(split into 16 parts) They also serve as guardians to attack anyone that trys to free dormain. They have no mind of their own. They were created by Priests of Emon long ago to seal Dormain( who is the devil in a kind of way) and to be locked away in The Forbidden Land. They wander around for eternity with magic seals on them, and when you stab into those magic seals Dormain leaks out

@thejokerslaughbeware I think Ico does probably in my opinion "redeems" Wander's mistakes since Ico is the only horned child to escape and solve the problems of the tower. That's why Ico breaking his horns in the final battle is symbolic that Wander's lineage is finally free.

Not quite blinded, more like stupid and selfish, capable of destroying everything beatiful in the world, for his needs. Collosi aren`t harming anyone. They aren`t threat to anyone. They are just there. Beatiful creatures that wander in eternity. Yet, he destroys them for personal needs. It is sad to find that actually all of the characters in the game are somehow evil, yet good. Nobody can judge Emon as well, as he exiles people because he wants to protect his own... :))
