I think the roots of this conflict can be placed squarely at the feet of Stalin. When this region was part of the USSR he drew boundries that would insure conflict. The inhabitants would have no time for Moscow as long as Baku and Yerevan were at each other's throats. That essentially pacified the area in his eyes. The leaders of these two great nations need to recognize that and sit down and figure out how to undo that. It won't be easy because of the years of animosity Stalin created.

I need someone to explain to me the use of the word "Turk" from the Armenian perspective. It seems from the feedback I have received that the word "Turk" as used by an Armenian can consist of just of just about anyone who practises the Islamic religion. I'm sure I am confused on this point. Can someone educate me more specifically what is meant when this term is used in the Armenian context?
