@weightfeather1 That's what I've read...shows like LOVE ON A ROOFTOP, HE & SHE, and GOOD MORNING WORLD didn't fit in an era when the hit sitcoms were rural (anything set in part or whole in Hooterville), gimmicky (suburban housewife/witch, beautiful girl/2.000 year old genie, novitiate who takes flight at inopportune times) or comfortably familiar (wacky redhead does crazy things, bachelor raising kids with help from his live-in domestic).

I remember being on the set of the Universal sound stage. The cityscape was a huge wall painting with lightbulbs imbedded for the night scenes. They were shooting the Munsters next door there during that same period.

The 2nd season of this show was sandwiched between Bewitched and That Girl. I wonder why it bombed,. back then...people didnt change the channel because it took effort so they just sat through the dud show to see the hit show. Wonder why it failed

This was one of the crappiest shows on TV. Rich Little alweays made the show somewhat bearable.

@cuteycindyhoney yep... $85.37 a week.. and things were far happier then... you've no idea.

This was a fun series. Judy Carne was on the Captain Penny Show in Cleveland, Ohio and he was barely sober and seemed to have recovered nicely from his wife's suicide off a bridge. It was almost indecent, and this was a kiddie show, but I figured I would understand it better when I grew up.

"I couldn't afford a divorce" LMAO

@sopaman1234 Now that you mention it, they were. "Love on a Rooftop" was a Screen Gems show.

If you frezze it at 3:30 doesn't that lady look just like Agnes Moorehead if it was, i
wouldn't be suprised since Love On A rooftop And Bewtiched were both produced by
the same parent company...
No, Judy was married to Burt Reynolds at the time this pilot was originally filmed, 'sonny'. It was filmed in color- this is a black & white print. Only 30 episodes {one season} were produced- it was eventually syndicated, on and off, through the '90s.

I used to enjoy this show The golden age of situation comedies Marlo Judy and Elizabeth were the leading actresses at this time Thanks for the video These were like mini movies in their day They actually had music/soundtrack written exclusively for the episodes.
