I know what you mean, mate, but fair play....it generates money into the economy. I lived it myself...although I'm 40 now so only came in at the end when the Hac started to attract scallys and gangsters....but it still had something special. It was a fucking dive of a club really....it stunk really bad and was very damp (the sweat of thousands of E heads had a lot to do with that). It was the DJ's, the tunes and the heads that made the Hac great...not a building. Good times.

Don't get me wrong, it looks pretty cool but I live in Manchester and am pretty sick & tired of seeing the "The Haçienda" brand used here, there and everywhere. It's become a cynical cash cow and used as a tool to try to give any club night 'instant credibility'. Living of Past Glories. It's funny how Peter Hook often operates under the The Haçienda brand but is quite at odds with the concept of DJing.

Never said it was.Bearing in mind the Hac has been closed for about 15 years. And the Hacienda Party carries on regardless on its WORLD tour. This was at the WAREHOUSE on Store Street in Manchester.
