Laura Dockrill, reads her favourite childhood poem Roald Dahl's The Pig.

Laura Dockrill performs at Southbank Centre's Imagine Festival.

Imagine, the UKs brightest childrens festival, fills Southbank Centre with wonderful readings, storytelling and poetry featuring some of todays leading childrens writers, as well as comedy, visual arts, magic and music.

  • she's fucking gorgeous! omg, if only i were her, and not for the apparent reasons.(she's a great writer, she's beautiful, she's talented, creative) no but for some other reason. *sigh

  • i love how she preforms!!! i've met her in real! for a week actually. i love it! lol, she's amazing :P

  • dockrill would get it...i also love her poetry performances

  • saw her at Reading this year, amazing talent

  • I love Dockers so much

  • Its wierd that 'we' only get to pay this much attention to rythm (outside of music) when children are involved. It seems to me a great loss to both poetry and prose that rythm is so rarely seen as an integral part of it. One day I'll write a cross between The Epic of Gilgamesh and The Whale With the Snail on its Tail. [vain ambition alert!]
