http://www.nakedinternetmarketers.tv/217/episode-5-of-the-naked-internet-mark... Tim and Anthony back again with yet another episode of the Naked Internet Marketers TV Show. Episode 5 and no nudity to date.

Today we start off with the web traffic tip of the week and Tim is talking about uploading content without a backlink as a way to get traffic and improve rankings.

WTF! Tim, how is this possible? To get rankings without banklinks? Why would you want to upload content without links? Are you crazy man?

Well it's pretty funny me asking myself questions like this. But there is a method to Tim's madness, and you will see this in the video.

It's semi related to leaving footprints, and this method in part helps you get into dmoz which if you don't already know is a valuable directory to get your websites into (free but usually very hard to get approved).

That aside, why am I both writing this and discussing myself in the third sense? Strange but somehow really compelling. Am I just trying to create a huge blog post to help with Google rankings. Hmmm interesting...

Anthony has a talk about Borders (the book store) and Angus and Robertson and how these Australian companies have gone into bankruptcy. How is this relevant I hear you ask?

Well simply put this is an example of big business failing. In this case it was "bricks and mortar" companies trying to compete against an online giant.

Anthony goes on to discuss how big business online generally are not that difficult to beat.

Moving on to the mindset tip of the week, the boys discuss two biggies. Making mistakes and taking risks.

Related somewhat to the "being perfect" tip from a previous episode, the boys talk about how making mistakes can be a good thing, and how taking risks is something you will inevitably have to do at some point.

The interesting thing about taking a risk is, many people focus on the negative possibilities of that risk instead of the positive. Why not focus more on the positive?

Anthony drops a bombshell with a discussion on a new book.

The 80/20 principle is a book by Richard Koch and essentially mentions that in life generally 80% of your results will be achieved by 20% of what you do. With that in mind, shouldn't you then be focusing on making this 20% your priority? It's amazing but many of us don't!

It's amazing but us humans tend to know some of this stuff but don't actually do it. Think of it as a salesman who knows he has to make (say) 50 cold calls a day to get the 5 leads of which 2 turn into sales.

NOTE: This applies to online and offline marketers, and does not only apply to business. You can use these principles in any part of your life.

Yes the above is an affiliate link and by our calculations if one million of you click it and buy the book we stand to make one million times 86 cents (approx) per book that is = $860K. Pretty nice, so please click away. We have a hunch that we wont get one million people to click but hey, what the hell? ha ha.

Lets talk now about a new online backup service called drop box. This is a pretty cool tool that works for Mac, Windows and Linux as well as iphones and other gadgets and allows you to back up your files online.

You need to be backing up online, and this free tool makes it a breeze to do it. The first 3GB of backup space is free. So if that is all you need, then you won't need to pay anything more. If you want more space you can upgrade. The pricing is pretty good, the application is great, and the peace knowing your data is protected is eternal. There is an even an optional price for more storage if you need it. Anthony and Tim, the great Aussie marketers as they are have the 50GB upgrade accounts.

The link below is a special link to Sign up To DropBox which if clicked gives both Tim and you extra backup space when you sign up, so why not use it. Yes it's free, and no dropbox do not pay affiliate commissions.

Tim also talks about one of his pet hates, unsupported products in his rant of the week. You don't want to miss this one. No really, you don't want to miss it. Watch it.
