A new film by Unite the union, shows how workers' wages are failing to stretch to the end of the month with the money running out after just 21 days before they have to start borrowing to get by until the next pay day. Great video. In answer to what to do instead of cuts: close tax havens, regulate the square mile and bring about a financial transaction tax - a Robin Hood Tax. Tax justice network said in 2011 that the amount lost from tax AVOIDANCE (not evasion) might be as much as £69.9bn a year. A financial transaction tax would generate around £20bn. So let's cut the £69.9bn to £50bn and add that to the £20bn, that'd net £70bn a year.

Who is fool enough to dig their own grave by take out a 400% loan every month? I would feel so uncomfortable to join a protest march with such supporters of corrupt financial sharks. I would rather eat less takeaways, clothe myself from charity shops and bike to work with a carboot bike than buy and fuel a new car or get a fancier phone or bigger TV with loan sharks cash or money scrounged from parents or friends.

can i just say the animation of this video is fantastic. and obviusly by people with talent. i love the clouds. i love the loneliness and lost sense you get from the man and his almost mechanical movements. and i dont care what he music snobs say, this song is very moving. this song and video expresses how i feel and what i see entirely. and i just wanted to say that. but i knew this would happen as soon as the tories got in. ah well
