As Leonard Cohen was the true voice of my generation, Tift Merrit, I am certain, will eventually be recognized as the true voice of today's. There aren't that many artists that can so completely catch the heart and soul of an era.

@TheSupergpop If you have any of Tift Meritt's albums, buy them all!!! The first one I recommend to start with is her second album "Tambourine". This is the album that this song appears on.

This is the type of country that should be played on country radio...not that garbage that's currently playing, littered with parodies and jokes and goofy cookie cutter lyrics and formula music.
