NOW IN HD: Two simple, quick techniques for modelling two different types of battle damage against an armoured vehicle. Maybe you could use it to fill a boring part of your model with an interesting detail, or perhaps you would like to do something that's been shot to hell...either way, maybe this'll help.

The technique shown uses fixed pigments so they're safe to handle, unlike other methods where your weathering could get rubbed off.

Audio seems a little off due to noise reduction filter...been picking up a lot of background noise lately after upgrading to Windows 7, but it also records much clearer. weird. either way, enjoy the video thanks for watching.

  • Just wanted to say thanks for all the vids.

I'm a 40k player and found your stuff via WG/SMConsortium's channel and I must say that your work looks stunning. Given time I hope to start incorporating your techniques for my vehicles and figures.

  • @Hellkat1324

I hope the videos help you make that next step, it's what they're for :-)

  • Im not sure pure chrome really looks the part for scorched metal.

  • @kravmaga99

It's supposed to represent exposed metal, but whatever works for you go with it. I like using the chrome, it gives some feel for what's under the paint.

  • Very well done. Love the bit with the nail. That is pure gold. Thanks for posting.

  • @Shiznaft1 just be careful with it. I forgot to add the usual disclaimer... I hope everyone realises hot nails will battle-damage your hands and eyes too !

  • Awesome,

  • do more 40k stuff!

  • Sweet christ mate. what is that dropper you are using? is it that dirty? it looks like Nurgles penis. The model looks great, but i had a double take at that water dropper, lol!

  • Nice :)

  • Wont the varnish crack when your drilling into it?

  • @ScaleModelMedic Let's hope so. Sadly many people still require the obvious warning. Like that hot coffee is hot, or do not use this radio in the shower....LOL
