In 2001 Yagami was fightng against the entire K' team & loses then

Kyo Kusanagi defeated Yagami all by himself.

@LOKBLUDOM3N Yeah. I read the 2001 manga and when Mai beat Kyo I just couldn't believe it! There is NO.WAY. that Kyo can lose to Mai. Chang can probably beat Mai. Kyo fucking knocked out the big daddy Orochi himself. There is probably no character in KoF that can survive the full force of Kyo's Serpent Wave.

I think even Iori is weaker than Kyo because, despite having Orochi power he could never beat Kyo. All Iori does is tie with Kyo. Now if Kyo had Orochi power Iori would be dead lol.

@LOKBLUDOM3N Well, 'unofficial' isn't the proper word for them. The proper word is 'non-canon', which means the stories that happened in the manga are a "What if" story. The writers who write those manga know very little about KoF. For example, Kyo lost to Mai in 2001 manga. We all know this is impossible. Kyo can kill Mai in one blow. Kyo doesn't even need his flames to beat Mai.

Anyway, almost all the manga are 'non-canon', except maybe the "KoF: Kyo" manga. That one may be canon.

And there was no mention of Kyo fighting Iori in 2001. What we know for sure is that K' Team won the tournament.
