Ok, this is the one I was talking about. I don't know about you guys, but this was EXTREMELY FAST in my opinion.

This is at a crossing as a CN (Canadian National) freight train passes by.

I am just surprised it was going this fast, for one, this is a big road, many cars around here and is very residential and commercial.
Also, there is a bend in the track right after that crossing, not very sharp but still.
Towards the end of the video, it seems it does slow a bit but not that much.

EDIT: I think it was probably doing 60-70 MPH. possibly.

Btw, that sound you here, kinda like a monster-like sound lol, is what is sounded like, lol, sounded like it was gonna eat u!! :0

Recorded on: September 19, 2007 in the evening.

:) Enjoy! :D

  • wow the camera have realla les then 0.2 megapixel :o

  • It is a Camera Phone, sorry. This was before I got my Panasonic Camera (which just broke about 2 weeks ago. I will be getting a new camera, the Samsung SC-MX20 in the next couple days, so anymore videos I put on Youtube (besides the garage fire I will be putting up soon) will be taken by that new camcorder. Btw, the phone model is a Motorola V235.

  • it is not your opinion its a fact

  • lol, I guess, but some people may say it is slower than it really is!

  • I guess 2 engines was all THAT train needed. Was it empty? Cause it was long.

  • not sure, but ya i didn't notice that, i guess two trains could pull that much, and the video is cut up so it is longer than what it looks (about 15 more seconds) cause i took it with a camera phone, but ya i guess the train had to not be that full, or maybe completely empty (he was pry late to pick up sum cargo, and was in a hurry ;) lol

  • @540jibber Are you wacked? CN speed was a max of 65 when I hired on. It's a max of 60 now.

  • @NSrailfan1017 72 actually.

  • Wow thats fast wish you would have caught this with a good camera.

  • I didn't know you could record with your 20 Yr. Old. Emerson DVD player.

  • Seems to be about running at app 115 kph, or app 70 mph.

  • well??? not so bad for an i phone?????

  • I wish you can shoot the same thing again with a better camera and tripod. Looking forward to it!

  • that train was really fast dude

  • if this was in better quality it would be a great video. 3/5 stars.

  • I have train tracks about 1,000 ft. away from my house, so the house shakes when they go by and everything. The trains are always coal, oil, or intermodal. Yesterday, an empty coal train came by and I looked out of my window and it appeared to be going about this speed, and then it blew it's horn, which they never do anymore in this area, and I almost fell out of my chair! It's been so long since they were allowed to blow their horn back if you wave! lol
