  • Can we all agree that we made a mistake and put Ron Paul in office instead?

  • Which portion of we citizens should be conscripted to provide universal care to all that demand it as a "right"? The one giant hole in the push for "universal care" is the assumption that there will be a ready supply of bright talented people willing to practice under a government bureaucracy bent on telling them what to do and when to do it. Plan on paying dearly for a new policy, and still being denied your treatment, or being treated by a govt employee who'd rather be home watching TV.

  • This is one thing Americans don't get. Although i support Ron Paul, i totally disagree at this point.

Health should be a HUMAN RIGHT!

No one is in control of health and disease can hit anyone. In the USA many patients do not get the correct or any treatment, because they cannot afford it. Now cure shouldn't be a luxury good and something you can look forward to if you work hard. We have public health care in Germany and I have no problem that taxes are spent on poor people that eg need surgery

  • universal health care = welfare

it's for those who like a free ride.

  • @ayokay123 As it is now. But I have been thinking about this a lot and I think it may be possible to create one. But who knows? The sheer magnanimity of what I propose is enough to intimidate.

  • @mrhnm There is no such thing as a society "free of compulsion" since one's mere existence within it carries inherent obligations and responsibilities. Things that we do or don't do have an effect on others, and NO man is an island unto himself when he lives within a society. Soooo, no matter how much you dream, that will not change.

  • @ayokay123 That's the plan when I'm rich enough. Of course like minded people are welcome to come. Look my whole position is based on the idea that no one has the right to force anyone to do anything. Rights are not obligations. If you wouldn't have it if you were the last person on earth it is not a right.

I dream of a Society free of compulsion. The government serves the legitimate function of defending rights and liberty.

  • @mrhnm Sounds like you need to buy yourself your own island and go live there. You can build your own roads, provide for your own needs, and not have to answer to anybody but yourself.

  • I'm not against helping people, I just want to do it on my terms.

  • @ayokay123 Universal Heathcare forces me to pay for people. It enslaves me to the needs of others.

  • @mrhnm The fact that you equate universal health care with enslavement tells me that you either know very little about both, or are a far right wingnut whose ideology is incompatible with modern day society. Either way, you sound fairly ignorant. Good luck with your life....but try not to harm either yourself or others, ok?
