  • @miatamama08 Thank you! I was one of them from 1981 to 1983. This song always brings me back to the protests. And me having to drive through them while people hadcuffed themselves to my car trying to stop me from getting to work. A dark time in my life. RBB

  • Dad was stationed at Fulda in the 1950s while in the Cav. 7/14, I believe.

  • C-Troop 3/12 Cav. 72-74 :)

  • I served there. Thanks for the memories.

  • (2) did the same thing. LOTS of US&BGS on the ground saw the GAK and Russians watching with binocs and cameras. They hovered over 3 or 4 places and kept doing that. By the end, there were 3-4 trucks on the east side & at least 12 commies watching-half taking pictures. The commies had a shit fit. (PM me your email and I'll tell you what we found out after reunification.)

  • @wickerman66645 In '88 one flew up to OP-A in the north corner overlooking the both towers. The crew chief had gotten a new hand made fly rod in from the States for his B-day-bragged about it-loved it. A WO2 had the idea of "F-ing with the commies" so he got a giant coffee can from a chow hall and spray painted it black, put some small rocks in. They hovered 100' or so and he told the crew chief to lower the can 50', hold 10 secs. and bring it back in. They 50m south over the field and ....

  • @DrMotorDude No i dont recall that sorry.

  • @wickerman66645 Do you remember hearing about a Huey from Sickles that hung an old coffee can out the door with a fly rod and lowered then raised it? Then they went about 50 meters and did it again?

  • Miatamama thanks very much for your comment I appreciate it
