Aspie Eyes: The beautiful eyes of Asperger's syndrome

Those of us with Asperger's syndrome, a form of high-functioning autism, often are accused of being "stoned", or flirtatious, or are told our eyes are beautiful, innocent, or child-like.

This video represents the eyes of Asperger's syndrome, wonderful and beautiful. Such a depth to these eyes, and I believe these eyes are indicative of our inner selves.

This is a project which I have taken somewhere around 6 months to complete. After endless hours of collecting the photos, editing them, and working them into this video, the end result has surprised even me. I feel so close to all of you who contributed.

Thanks so much to all of you who participated in this project and made it possible. After viewing this video, I think it is evident that there is "something about those aspie eyes".

This is stupid. There is no qualitative nor quantitative difference in aspire and neurotypical eyes. If there was such a indifference we could use it as a method of differentiation but there is not. Learn to be critical of the things you read and watch.

@LadyCocoa1234 Learn to look at things from every angle and to voice your opinion, but also learn not to be insulting and rude, using words like "stupid" in your comments. How about that? You are entitled to your opinion, and just because you have the right to exercise freedom of speech does not mean you have to choose to be insulting. Being kind to others goes a long way in this world. Too many people have forgotten this, and that is why our world is in such a mess, so wise up.

Thanks for posting this. I have Asperger's and I always thought this was unique to me. :-) I wear glasses and when I was younger I tried wearing contacts and had to stop because when I would look at myself in the mirror it was like looking deep in my soul and it kind of scared me. I felt like others could see what I saw looking directly into my eyes. I still believe that as people I've dated as soon as they took off my glasses were always fixated with my eyes. I guess you have to have lived it.

I think the only commonality in these eyes is confusion and hurt. I however do find that many Aspies are old souls, struggling in our human suits. Look into the starseed phenomena, you'll find many traits overlaps with Aspies.

a lot of aspies tend to have a hostile/scary expression in pictures. Also, people often told me I was high in school.

@MrStarstruck404 i agree ----i have a very strong correction in my glasses, but when I take them off people are really struck by the nature of my eyes-- almost seem troubled by them. so no contacts for me.

luckily , I almost never remove my glasses xcept in bed or shower.

my eyes scare people.wittless....they say they feel like am reading their soul or gonna go for their throat......so, a .long time ago i intentionally quit making eye contact with people so as not to frighten them.----i look at their nose or their mouth , or the ground. I have heard it said that apsie eyes in real life dont look completely human....i dont know why..
