Tin Bath Extra HD

A brief view of the Tin Bath Extra hauled by black fives 45407 & 45231, from County Bridge which spans the River Calder in Sowerby Bridge. It was from this spot I watched the Newcastle to Red Bank newspaper van train returning to Manchester. The usual motive power was Double headed Stanier 4-6-0's. Either black fives or Jubilees or combinations. There wasnt as much lineside vegetation then, which used to be kept clear and is now just another indication of our run down railway infrastructure mainly caused by too few PW men looking after too many track miles. How long before its a green tunnel from start to end of your journey in the summer? Disgusting.
