Pokémon Battle Revolution - Vs. Haff27

Yesterday, I played a 6-on-6 battle against Haff27 from here on YouTube. I don't know if you've met him or not or anything, but he's certainly been going around. The other day, I saw a match where he played against AngeloBlaze.

Watching that match was the key to me going through so much of the team using just Internape. He switches a lot, so on the first turn, when his Forretress went up against my Infernape, I went against normal hunches and used Nasty Plot. To say that it paid off big time is an understatement.

I had a strong feeling the entire team would fall to just Infernape, considering that Dodrio, Forretress, and Sandslash was all he had left, and even Gardevoir went down with a single powered up Flamethrower. I actually wanted to also use Skuntank and Phione in this battle as I haven't used them much.

It seems that Infernape is this team's biggest weakness, especially one that powers itself up. He told me himself that he'll have to be better prepared for Fire-types in the future.

By the way, every Pokémon on this team is named after a character or a setting from Eiichiro Oda's manga/anime One Piece. At least, the ones that have a name. One Piece is a great show and a very overlooked one.

Soro is the name of the wolf belonging to Helmeppo, son of the corrupt Navy Captain "Axe-Hand" Morgan.

Kalifa is one of the members of CP9, a secret police division employed by the World Government. She's the only female member and has the powers of soap, such as slipperiness and the production of bubbles. (It's also a lot more dangerous than it sounds.)

Enies refers to Enies Lobby, a fortress town very deep into the Grand Line. Luffy and the others battle CP9 over there.

The Baratie is a floating restaurant wandering about somewhere. At one point, it was under attack from Don Krieg and his armada as Chef Zeff had been able to survive in the dangerous strip of ocean known as the Grand Line. Luffy recruited a waiter named Sanji over there.

As this was a 6-on-6, I and Haff27 used all of the Pokémon.

My god, I can't believe you were able to OHKO Lanturn, even after a Nasty Plot.

Special Defense and HP as bulky as Lanturn's is second only to stuff like Blissey.

I can see the high HP, but a base Special Defense of 76 isn't really that immense.

Oh, wow, is it that small? My lanturn is a special wall, and attacks just bounce off of it, so I guess I always thought that its stats were bigger.

Maybe yours isEV-trained in Special Defense, or your Lanturn is being hit by Pokémon not EV-trained in Special Attack. Lanturn can definitely take a hit with that huge HP, however.

you shouldn't be worried about raising stats. that can be the key to winning a battle (it often is). the key is raising the RIGHT stats and having a move to protect yourself durring the prosses. EX).substitute-iron deffense-protect-double team ect.
