BigMike's first Mountaineer Trip: 1 of 4

This is the first virgin run for my rebuilt Mountaineer. Everything is stock including the suspension, except for the transmission of course :) Final Crawl Ratio here is 649:1 OH YEAH!! The audio sounds bad, that high pitch noise is my motor fan, not my speed controller. At 649:1 the speed controller rarely squeals!

Nope, I came back from Japan last winter, but surprisingly enough, all I did over there in terms of R/C was bring back 3 pairs of Clodbuster axles because I was working on a home made "Stick" crawler. But I ditched that idea when I decided to rebuild the Mountaineer :)

How do you change the gears in this? Do you get ridd of the shiftable three speed? what parts do you use for the upgrade?
