Hizbullah Victorious In Doha Agreement That Promises To End

After 20 months of strikes  and a conflict that brought Lebanon to the brink of civil war and five days of intensive discussions in Doha, Qatar an agreement promising to bring an end to the violence was reached. The Lebanese media described the event as a victory for Hizbullah as the conditions agreed on were similar to those mentioned by Hassan Nasrallah  before the recent bout of violence erupted.05/21/08

I have a Druze friend (now an American citizen) who was showing his kids where he grew up when the IDF attacked his convoy trying to get to a U.S. ship sent to safely remove Americans from the war zone. U.S. paid for machine gun bullets shot at American citizens waving American flags!! How sick is that? As a Druze, he grew up with some respect for Israel. After IDF gunners fired at his 9 and 12 year old his opinion changed.

FYI - the IDF gunners laughed and gave him the finger while firing.

According to U.S. law, the federal government is supposed to cut of military aid to any country that misuses US-funded weaponry, e.g. using cluster bombs on civilians like the IDF did in 2006 in Lebanon. Why didn't we cut off the aid as U.S. law calls for? Why did the President disregard U.S. law??
