    The other problem i have with feminists is that it's never enough. When will they ever be satisfied? We currently have arguably the most anti-male President and Vice President in history. This administration gives hugely disproportionate health-care and education funding to women and girls, and ignores men and boys needs. Women get favorable treatment in education, health care spending, affirmative action, less harsh prison sentences, etc. Yet feminists are still complaining.

    I find the feminist notion of "male privilege" extremely offensive. Feminists are completely callous and insensitive to the suffering of men. They have no compassion for male suffering. Like the old saying goes, until you've walked a mile in someone else's shoes... If men had such privileged, easy lives, we would not be committing suicide at 4 times the rate of women. I find feminists very judgmental, callous, and condescending. Thank you Girlwriteswhat for your compassion.

    Indeed. It would nice to see some real dialogue between the two factions, but ideology has a way of stranding groups apart. I think a lot of people who dislike feminism would actually like feminist work, whether it's Buffy the Vampire Slayer or the Nostalgia Chick's stuff, because it sneaks by without yelling that it is feminist. For the most vocal supporters of equal gender rights, the broader movement of humanism might be the way to go.

    Well, see, my issue is with some of the stuff this channel and other MRAs - though honestly, this is the only MRA channel I can consistently listen to - make a pretty strong case for some of the negative aspects of feminism being part of the cause from the word go. And since I don't really see feminists actually engaging in conversation with this group I never end up hearing a counter-point. It's like everyone's just talking past each other.

    I'm not sure what you mean by that objection.

    No worries, man. A lot of people who adopt the term feminist, especially in recent years, have done incredible damage to the movement by conforming to the stereotypes rather than the genuine ideology. It might have reached the point where the name itself is beyond salvage.

    I don't see it. Not on a level that incorporates biological evolution as fact and truth.

    Ah, thank you for your input. It's weird, I feel like people like you and people like the regulars in these videos have very different definitions of feminism. It gets hard to just say "oh, feminism is totally that!". So, thanks for your view mate. ^^;

    ...In fact, atheism and feminism aren't just very similar, but do overlap ideologically. Feminists cite religion as one of the legs supporting patriarchy. Atheists cite patriarchy as a reason why religion is evil. It would be interesting to see what would happen if atheists were as critical of atheism as they are of feminism.

    I would submit that atheism and feminism actually go hand-in-hand. Modern, ideological, politically-active atheism rests on the uncritical acceptance of a theory of religion that is virtually identical to patriarchy theory: religion is the source of all violence, oppression and ignorance, and that religious privilege - if not religion itself - must be abolished for society to truly become free...

    Atheism is an adjective describing beliefs, ideologies, philosophies and worldviews that lack the feature of a deity. Atheism is not an ideology in the same sense that theism is not an ideology. They're both descriptive adjectives. Tell me what god you don't believe in and why, and we'll figure out what your underlying philosophy is.
