Plot Summary:

PG 13? It is going to be shit. Of course they had to make it suitable for the kids besides making a good movie. Same as the Hunger Games.

trainspotting was a great book to film adaptation.the LOTR had more issues with producers sticking their noses in the directors business when it came to giving fans the best possible adaptation of that series.i think what fans were trying to say is that it could have been sooo much better if they had stuck to the original story.i guess to non fans that would seem like whining.my attitude is "if it aint broke,dont try to fix it".still WWZ has me interested,the size & scope of it looks insane.

I call bullshit. Plenty of Potter fans were satisfied with the movies, ditto Twilight, ditto Cloud Atlas, ditto James Bond (on the whole) - they might *prefer* the books, sure, but that's a different matter.

This thing is so loosely based on the book that it might as well not be called World War Z. This 'One Man Saves The World' thing is completely opposite to what WWZ was all about - a collective account of humanity's war against the zombies from start to finish. This doesn't seem to be it.

Dude... Ive NEVER seen any1 who read a Book and end up satisfied with the movie of the book in question, with the obvious exception of LOTR, and I read all the books of LOTR (after watching the movies ofcourse, not like some hipsters who lie and say that they read lotr before it was mainstream) and let me tell you that all of them suck except for the hobbit, That is why the LOTR movie Trilogy was such a success and any movie based on a GOOD book end up sucking thanks to all the Book Fanatics

We're picky mostly because we're fans of the book, and the book was original and unique, a documentary-style collection of interviews of the survivors who witnessed World War Z from start to finish. This looks like a boring/generic zombie/disaster movie. The book was far from boring or generic.

I'm fine with CGI, more to the point that a 'one man will save us all' plot is so completely different from the book - which is a series of interviews with all kinds of various survivors and witnesses of WWZ from all over the world - how it started, spread, developed and how the world nations failed to stem it at first but finally won. I wanted a documentary style account of the War that almost destroyed humanity, not this generic-looking zombie disaster movie.
