Designed this for no particular reason just felt like it. This video shows the outline being drew in Illustrator CS5 and then some simple coloring in Photoshop CS5. Any questions feel free to ask :) Thanks.

One of my first videos so it's not very polished as these were my first attempts, video editing, uploading ect.

Used Illustrator CS5 to draw the vector outlines and then into photoshop to colour. And I used wacom bamboo tablet on iMac. And also used iShowU HD to capture.

  • sir, do you know a good freeware alternative to adobe ilustrator?

  • @amassasa Id try searching for a painting program, some of them are free I think you get some program with the wacom tablet. But every program I have I downloaded for free, I dont pay for nout.

  • I totally forgot illustrator had a brush tool. I usually just use it for icons, logos and stuff. Never thought of using it for line art...

  • @notKnifoon yeah I think it's a lot better to do the line art in illustrator as it's vector and each line can be individually changed at any time, plus it smooths the lines out automatically.

  • i wish i can draw like that T_T

  • @mrx3mpz get the equipment and just practice :D

  • Great :) Whats the name of the song ?

  • @epiaxor Its just called the Wacom Bamboo Pen, and it's the smallest one I think. You can get ones that are called 'touch' and you can only use your fingers so make sure it's one that comes with a pen. And yeah it is very simple I haven't had mine that long it's easier than you think. Paintings good as you can do pressure and lightness sensitivity so it's pretty realistic.

  • I was just curious on what model of the Wacom Bamboo that you were using. Also using the tablet is it simple enough for beginners to digital art such as the vector art in the vid. I am big into painting so I thought I'd look into doing some digital art.

  • @FormalKing000 aha no problem :) make sure you toggle the pressure sensitive on in Photoshop and illustrator when selecting the brush.
