To Draw in Space-Abstract artists from Brazil and Venezuela in the Colección Patricia Phelps de Cisneros is a study of the work of two abstract traditions in Latin America, the Concrete and Neo-concrete movements in Brazil and the geometric abstraction and kinetic art movements in Venezuela. The exhibition examines how artists in both movements addressed the need to transcend the traditional limits of painting, shifting from a two-dimensional plane into three-dimensional space. The artists included in the exhibition are Gego, Alejandro Otero, Jesús Soto and Carlos Cruz-Diez from Venezuela, and Lygia Clark, Hélio Oiticia, Willys de Castro and Mira Schendel from Brazil.
