I don't see the problem with this mission. I accidentally killed the Doctor on my first attempt, so I came here to see if pickpocketing was the solution, which it was. Then I restarted it and easily succeeded with 15 seconds to spare.

I completed this with 6 seconds to spare, thanks to a combination of horse riding and free running (as well as some blind luck and a lot of button mashing).
I love Assassin's Creed, but really, really HATE the timed missions.
