  • How do you think symbolic interactionism affects your method of teaching in regard to you not having real-time feedback from a traditional classroom environment?

  • @lotmaakchos great question. There are great adages to this type of learning environment, including asynchronous learning, which is a definite advantage with teaching globally, across all time zones. So in that regard this is very powerful. The immediacy of the feedback and interaction really isnt a problem. The problem with this platform are the voyeurs in "class" with people that really want to learn. Imagine being in class with students occupying the professors attention with

  • @lotmaakchos ...continuous distractions and questions which they understand. Then magnify that 50fold. What these years of teaching on youtube has afforded me is an indepth understanding of a better educational system. For all practical purposes, my contribution has reached its max. The format is here. The basic structure can be copied and pasted. So I'm shifting forms. May come back, but I'm an educator not an entertainer. YT is great but this is a place for entertainers. Not me.
