The 60's with the BT in .223 I've heard are excellent, and Hornady's solid copper with the cross shaped hollow blades I've heard also do some really solid damage on deer out of a .223. Not sure what the laws are in your state are though, Kentucky even allows .17 Centerfire but a lot of places have a .243 minimum or even Straight-wall casing rules. I like how you mounted the scope on the rail though so you could keep the sites too, a lot of people just nix the close ranger.

Great stuff. Good advice. I'm in the open country looks tuff calling in the bush. gimme a look I've got a great running shot my buddy made on a coyote that I called in.
For those wondering about the shot. It was a frontal shot at 8 yards with 110grain V-max at 2300fps and totally destroyed the heart and lungs. No blood pumping out because there was no heart left to pump blood. The coyote was dead on it's feet.

What kinda slug did you use in this video? I'm not seeing a chasm like in the 110 v-max shot, and I'm honestly pretty unimpressed by the 300 whisper's stopping power with this particular video. There's a page on the Moeller site with some 7.62 slugs, solid copper KGG with some real nasty potential even for use on deer.

@IcabodCrane it is the 110g-Vmax we have since went to the 125g BT's. 60g BT's in a .223 at times.
