Interview with Audhild Kvam, Vice President International Business Development at Powel

Enerway met Audhild Kvam who is leading the International Business Development at Powel at the Smart Metering Scandinavia conference in Copenhagen.
Since 1996, Powel has been working together with their customers and with Sintef, the research institute in Norway, to develop innovative products and solutions that are driving the energy sector in Scandinavia.
Powel has identified that network companies that have completed their rollout projects are looking for opportunities to get more out of their infrastructure investments. They want to improve the reliability and reduce costs by utilizing the data they have collected from multiple systems and apply it to the smart grid functionality.
There has been a lot of development and work completed within the Transmission Grid and Residential Metering, therefore a lot of improvements can be realized in the Distributions Grid. Powel are now working with customers to use their Smart Metering Data together with Scada and Network information to offer customer service representatives and operational staff measurable improvements in energy disturbance analysis and asset utilization.
