In 2007 I made a Deltoidal Icositetrahedron transformation of a Rubik's Cube. My Kiteminx is the exact same shape but uses a Skewb as the core. I constructed it in 2009 by first sculpting the two masters by hand and then casting polyurethane resin parts from silicone rubber moulds.
I am pretty happy with the quality and am pleased with the way it looks. I have used standard Rubik's Cube style stickers on the 24 sides with 12 colours, doubling up on opposite faces. The puzzle always keeps it's shape.
See- http://tonyfisherpuzzles.net for photos and more information on this and all my other puzzles.

Ever wondered what Rubik's Cube looks like in a different language?
