Conglomeration of 556 oscillator divider, 4040 counter 741 filter and speaker mounted on a strainer mounted on a human. Counter drives LEDs for feedback to LDRs.

D'oh! I intend to sell a few once I find a source of decent strainers; actually a decent chin strap setup is what's lacking. I do have a 50s US army helmet, that one's next.

perfect app for the filter! I use it in a few fuzz/overdrive type things. You can use any kind of blinky light source to modulate the filter via the photocell. Have fun!

it's an LM741 (tlo71 works as well) variable bandpass filter, you can either find example circuits in the datasheets/apps notes, or it's used as the filter stage on the WSG from music from outer space- they have schematics online for a great starting point with this awesome filter design. works on pretty much any voltage and can drop into most bends or designs. I etch boards for them now, about 1 inch by 1 inch.
