@KingdomofHongkie I would agree with you since UN charter forbids anyone regain their former colonies or territories as colonies again after independence achieved.
But if Hong Kong successfully achieve independence in the future, does Hong Kongers still want the Queen back as head of state with a prime minister or have own republic with the president as head of state.
Either way, I am sure Hong Kong will be certain to join the Commonwealth as a former British colony.
