I love it too, but most pitchers have to throw it exclusively for it to be good (which i don't like.) I think, in my ideal world, I would work a knuckleball into some kind of rotation, or find different variations of it. There is a corkscrew knuckleball :)

@ridiculusforwwe He knows other pitches, I think he has a curveball and a changeup. But hey if it ain't broke, don't fix it!
-
@andrewmadden777 I know, that is nasty. I saw him pitch against the o's and they couldn't hit him.

@Schwarz2448 Tim Wakefield's knuckleball averages 67.9 mph while his fastball averages 76.1 mph over his career. He just plain doesn't throw hard, but with that nasty knuckleball, he really doesn't have to.

If that pitch is 65 mph then im throwing 80 to 85 lol. When they intentionally walk batters the speed thing is still up and pitchers still throw 70, it looks like a lob.
-
@obmulap113 he does. When Wake pitches, his own catcher will catch and he uses a first basemens mitt to catch his knuckleball.
-
i think the catcher has a firstbasemansglove

@ridiculusforwwe No, he also throws a low-70's "fast"ball, a a high-50's curve, and a high-50s knuckle.
i love everything about the knuckleball. i love how it can make batter look stupid, how you only have to throw it around 65 mph to make it really effective, how it moves, how little stress it puts on your arm, and how unpredictable it is. thanks for puttign this good look at tim's k ball up
