in 1989 becker was in the best phisicale shape of his carrer and his life; he was quick and agile, but equally very strong; then for 2 or 3 years he neglected the training; but the boris of the 1989 canned challenge and defeat the best sampras

these two produced beautiful tennis together. maybe the 2 most interesting players of the last 30 yrs.

there was an even better bh cc pass w/ mac on the near side later in the match
too bad mac's fh was weak & his 1st serve was erratic (so what else was new about the post '85 mac)
but '84 mac > '89 becker
u got his earlier matches against chesnekov & chang?? never saw them but he apparently played gr8 in those too
