  • No, when we were walking up to the cage we saw him doing it to another guy, so I told my husband to turn his back or walk away and every time the jaguar would get interested.

  • @iloveborscht Ambush Stalker, attacks from behind, without being heard or seen, pounces on your back and either bites the neck where the central nervous system is, or delivers a crushing bite to the temporal lobes, crushing the brain...amazing animal. 2nd strongest jaws in land mammals after the Hyena, unrivaled predator in its natural habitat. you are very lucky to see such an active specimen from so close.

  • Wow, cool vid! I heard tigers are the same way too, in that they can tell when you are facing them, and when you have your back turned to them. And they usually attack you from behind. Maybe it's just cat instinct.
